Church of the Good Shepherd Fund Raiser UPDATE

“Above All, You Need A Good Roof Campaign”

These past 3 years we have raised funds in excess of $60,000.00 to put a new foundation under the church.

This Spring we begin a NEW CAMPAIGN to replace the shingled roof, new eavestrough to protect the foundation, new wiring of the church, and some work on the old cemetery. This all added together comes to $15,000.00.

We are asking for help with this project. If 100 people give $150.00 each we would meet our target. Perhaps several members could join together. All  Gifts (large or small) will be greatly appreciated.

The church continues to be used each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. for services during July and August. Baptisms and weddings are also held throughout the summer months. It is still a vital part of the Parish of Christ Church and also the community of Tidnish. With your help it will continue to thrive for generations to come.

Donations will be used for restorations needed in this campaign. Gifts can be sent to Christ Church, PO Box 342, Amherst, N.S. B4H 3Z5.

Income tax receipts will be issued. Our Campaign ends August 31st , 2010.

UPDATE ON THE CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD ROOF CAMPAIGN

As you all remember we began a CAMPAIGN to raise funds to replace the shingled roof, new eavestrough and new wiring for the church. We had hoped to raise $15,000.00 to do this work. Funds received to date total $11,000.00. We had a very successful “Open House” in July and excellent response for the Pic “N” Grin evening and the HYMN SING.
